About Karen Burkett

The idea for Find Christian Links began a number of years ago with ChristianConnectionsUnlimited.com. My initial plan was to provide quality Christian links for site visitors. Links to products, services, and ministries. I added devotions, Bible study helps, and the good news of the Gospel. As time went on, God opened my eyes to the possibilities of using the site also to help fulfill Jesus' Great Commission to make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20). And so I began featuring various outreach ministries, hoping that seeing what others are doing would motivate more people to reach out and give them ideas how to get started. The site grew in size—and in the number of visitors from around the world. Find Christian Links Emerges. In 2009 I began exploring the possibility of expanding the site even further and at the same time updating the look. These musings led to the beginnings of Find Christian Links. After months of rebuilding, Christian Connections Unlimited was officially replaced by Find Christian Links in August 2009. Since then the site has take even more new and exciting turns. I believe the Lord wants me to update and expand ways to help people stay informed from a Christian worldview and find ways to make an eternal difference. This is a place where seekers can learn about Jesus. Where believers can connect, share ideas about ministry and methods that have—or haven't—worked for them. My hope is that through these links, seekers will find Jesus through the Word, believers will be encouraged to reach out to others with His love, people involved in ministry will be helped and encouraged—and that together we can make an eternal difference. Please take time to explore the site. Come back often—I will continually add new links. And I'd love to hear your comments and suggestions. Email me anytime (karen@FindChristianLinks.com). I am also founder and owner of ChristianEditingServices.com where I head up a team of Christian book editors and designers. I am a published writer with more than twenty years' experience. I have done a host of Christian editing and writing projects including books, articles, study guides, website features, daily devotions, brochures, radio messages, video scripts, television spots, grants, and more. I have written feature articles on assignment for several trade magazines. Wife, mother, grandmother, writer, editor, Bible teacher, ministry director, retailer, pastoral assistant, motel operator, campaign worker, library assistant . . . these and many more words have described me at times throughout my life. However, the description serving as an umbrella over all that is "follower of Jesus Christ."

Fearfully and Wonderfully Made!

You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.— Psalm 139:13-14 (NIV).

I am made by God! You are made by God. Just as surely as ANYone has been made by God, we have been made by God.

He knew us before anyone knew we were there. He had plans for us before anyone planned our arrival. And he made us well! How do we know? Look at all God has made.

Prayer… God Almighty, our Savior and Redeemer, thank You for knowing us before we were able to know. Thank You for choosing our lives and giving it to us. Thank You for giving us the gifts, abilities and talents that You have given us. Now please help us live as people made special by You, because We Are! Through Jesus we pray. Amen.

Welcome to another beautiful day.

God wants you to know that together we are strong. When you join your hearts and prayers and intentions with the hearts and prayers and intentions of others, almost anything becomes possible.

So this morning, I commit you into the Hands of the Almighty God for multiple blessings, abundant grace, success and mercies. Where you need help, He will send help from above, when you are troubled, He will speak comfort to your soul and when you are weary. He will strengthen you.

Today, God shall be there for you at every point of your need. The blessings of God shall not pass you. His glory shall surely manifest in your life. May those who stand on your progress stumble and fall, and all the curses from your enemies shall turn into blessing

In Jesus Name Amen. Good morning and Remain blessed… Shalom!

Don’t Be Afraid

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. ~Isaiah 41:10

God wants to give His children insight and Satan is at work in our life to prevent us from receiving from God what God wants us to have. The adversary causes as much turmoil and havoc as can be done by way of issues, distractions and worries, and each time we move to a new level in our growth in Christ the devil ups his game.

Do not be afraid. ~Deuteronomy 31:6, 8; Joshua 1:9; Psalm 23:4; Proverbs 29:25; Isaiah 41:10,13; Matthew 10:29-31; Romans 8:15; 2 Timothy 1:7; Hebrews 13:6; 1 Peter 5:7; Revelation 1:17

Don’t allow your mind to be filled with anxieties and worries. Fear is outside the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Fear comes from the fallen nature or from the adversary himself.
~2 Timothy 1:7

If you get nervous about something, pray about it. It is the best source of relief we can have. ~Mark 11:24-25; Luke 6:27-28, 11:13; John 15:16; Romans 8:26; Philippians 4:6-7; Colossians 4:2; James 5:14-15; 1 John 5:14.

Father, I’m so grateful for your Word of the truth and thankful for the gospel. I ask if there is anyone that is reading this that does not know you personally, that the Spirit of God would convict them of the sin of unbelief that they are committing against God. That in the quietness of their own mind and in the privacy of their own heart, he/she would trust Jesus Christ and what He has done when He died on the cross for their sins, was buried, and rose (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Giving you all the praise and the glory. I ask these things in Jesus’ name, Amen.

No More Fear!

Isaiah 32:18 : ‘My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.’

– We spend too much of our lives living in fear.

– The Lord will undertake and so we can live free from fear.

– His promise is for peace, security and rest.

– Let go of the issues and embrace the peace and security that comes from Him.

PRAYER: Lord, I pray that this will be a daily reality in my life. May I live securely and in the peace that You offer me as a gift. Amen.
